Hockey Hype Australia is pleased to announce the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) Player Award Nominations. Teams submitted nominations for players and personnel from their respective organisations for five different award categories.

When it comes to voting, teams vote for top three selections in each category on a 3, 2, 1 points basis. The Player’s Representative, Daniel Pataky, also participates in the voting process.

Teams may only vote on players and personnel not part of their respective organisations.

So, for example, the Central Coast Rhinos have selected Anand Oberoi in the Goalie of the Year category. When it comes to voting, the Rhinos will not be able to include Oberoi in its three selections.

The winners will remain unknown to everyone except the AIHL’s Head of Operations – Ben Armstrong. During the 2024 Hungry Jack’s AIHL Finals series, the AIHL will announce the winners.

The AIHL will announce two other awards at the 2024 Hungry Jack’s AIHL Finals Series.

First, the Finals Series MVP – judged by three people without connection or representation during the event. And secondly, Skaters Network Local Player of the Year – judged and awarded by Matt Pease and/or Lee Turner from Skaters Network.
