Viking Performance Lab (VPL) is not your everyday gym. Instead, VPL shows high-performance training with specialist equipment and tailored programming.
VPL is the first purpose-built ice and inline hockey training facility in Australia that highlights ice hockey performance training. VPL features advanced performance tech zones that support all aspects of hockey training. This doesn’t just include ice hockey; all tools help with team training, general athletic development, and quick-reaction sports.
What separates VPL from other performance hubs is its equipment. Having access to a Rapidshot Pro, NHL Sense Arena VR, a skate treadmill, and a high-strength and conditioning area. It’s what you need to set yourself and your training apart.

Opportunities for Everyone
Owners Annelie and Jason Kvisle stated that opening a space like this has been a dream. Their goal was to close the Hockey IQ gap between players here and overseas. Up until now there has been a lack of on and off-ice culture that is present within hockey training. State-of-the-art equipment at Viking Hockey Lab enables players to refine their skills with accurate data feedback on their performance.
In today’s sporting industry, marginal gains matter. Training smarter, not harder, is what separates good from great.
Assistant coach of the Sydney Sirens, Amelia Matheson, says VPL offers a range of versatile “off ice” practice options that allow the girls to have access to an active outlet with so many options that triple the number of pucks you would normally engage with in a typical practice or game setting. The technology offered mimics real-time movement; with this, Amelia is able to watch all of their handling in real time and can see their puck handling skills elevate as they dodge obstacles.

Annelie and Jason created this space not only for athletes to grow and improve on their skill training, but also for all ice hockey fans and the greater community. VPL allows everyone to take their opportunity to shoot a puck. Unless you play hockey, there is nowhere else you can do this in Australia.
Location and Contact Information
Located in Macquarie Park in Sydney’s North, VPL is easily accessed by car or public transport, including multiple bus routes and the Sydney Metro. Annelie and Jason, chose this area as it is in close proximity to Macquarie Ice Rink, Sydney’s premier ice rink.
If you’re in Sydney and want to elevate your athletic performance in hockey or other sports. VPL boasts a great opportunity to build your power, purpose and performance.
