AWIHL game postponed

The February 11 matchup between Adelaide Rush and Melbourne Ice has been postponed due to an carbon monoxide emergency at The Ice ArenA in Thebarton, Adelaide.

Emergency services were called and attended the ice rink on Sunday morning as multiple people were taken to hospital on suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, with chemical levels within the rink at a high level.

Rush defeated the Ice and currently sit top of the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League standings after a 6-2 win on Saturday as both teams looks towards AWIHL Finals in March.

News on a rescheduled matchup between the two teams has yet to be announced by the AWIHL.
